I watched The Birds for the first time in 20+ years last night.

Ehhh... it's pretty cool for its time I guess. Some of the camera/editing tricks were quite impressive. The acting and general pacing left a little to be desired, though!

Eagle Eye - shia laboof is at his most irritating in this very stupid movie. F

Thirteenth Floor - haven't seen it since it came out. People have kinda hyped this up as a hidden gem on par with The Matrix, which it definitely isn't, but it's a fine little movie. 4.8 thumbs out of 7.

The Informers - Bret Easton Ellis sleaze, but I enjoyed it. Lots of big name actors and was torched by the critics. A few of the side plots are duds and it doesn't go anywhere, but I wasn't bored. Winona and Kim Basinger are smoking hot and Amber Heard is tits out the whole movie. 6.7 boobs out of 10.

Total Recall 2012 - a generic movie made by a generic director with two generic pretty female action stars that I can't tell apart. Oh, and a generic score, too. So colorless it could be a black and white film.

How bland is Len Wiseman's filmography? I looked up his production company for some reason, and apparently it mostly makes propaganda for NGOs and corporations? I guess Kate Beckinsales aren't cheap.

he is truly awful. I think his best movie is Die Hard 4.0.

The weirdly languorous pacing/structure is maybe my favorite thing about The Birds. Soooo much of that movie is just the protagonist going about the minutiae of tasks before we ever get any bird horror. I love it.

Goddamn yes, thats a fucking police thriller right there!! Joe Carnahan sure know how to shoot em. Affleck and Damon are awesome. I didnt quite liked the ending though.
