Ha. As I predicted, the final of the three songs used for March Madness is…..
The already released Dark Matter.
Can’t make it up. How boring and unoriginal. Btw all of the three songs seemed heavily chopped.

Yep. Part of me thinks they launched that earlier than previously planned once they made the (likely) snap decision to release running. Sort of like: “well since we are releasing the song in a few days we will tease a clip through the DM observer first.
I thought we would be getting a couple clips per week but now my bet is, with 9 tracks unreleased still, we will get a clip from the 10th-18th (9 days) and then the record comes out on 4/19. They did this with gig.

Indeed. They are fans of RM…they take great pleasure on new album topics every couple of years just to see everybody freak out and talk about spotify relevance, drums, production, eds hair plugs…if it werent for us, they probably would not release any material.tommy wrote:DDWJMUVW wrote:unLEASHed wrote:They forget the visualizer too…after running, its collecting dust.DDWJMUVW wrote:https://x.com/cbssportscbb/status/1774141271918944393?s=46&t=hkPNtPUg-OrEPQo4iKQC4g

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
I would bet none of that last 5 seconds is anything new.
It either lies underneath the solo in DM and was stripped out and placed at the end or it’s just a cbs stock snippet. Why they would do either of those things makes little sense.
Check out previous snippets of running and something special and you can heard the producers are doing something similar in those as well.
It’s odd….

Based on song descriptions I think it’s the end of Waiting for Stevie. The last part of the cbs clip is just part of the cbs signature music, in rock format.

Yep. Haha. I don’t think the whole “DM record clips during MM” concept could have been executed in more underwhelming fashion. My god it’s embarrassing.
Did these even make it on to the tv broadcasts? I’ve been watching pretty religiously and haven’t seen/heard anything.
That combined with the VR observer so far,
Ooff.

I'm also still waiting on the promised Spotify previews for people who pre-saved the album. The three little clips of Mike talking are cool though.

Holding out hope for a simulcast of a surprise warm-up/record release gig
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…
