It was certainly the case 20 year ago, but not so much anymore. There’s definitely exceptions, and most people will say that those exceptions are less likely to happen with black vinyl. In today’s age, it boils down more to the mastering and the press’s quality control versus the colortragabigzanda wrote:Thrill Jockey just put up their represses of Tortoise’s TNT and Standards. Both are clear marbled vinyl...
I have an inherent suspicion of clear and marbled vinyl, like it’s probably lower quality. Is there any truth to this?
