The sheriff has confirmed it was not the shooter but a plainclothes detective. The kids were still smart to not open the door.

The students still thought it was the shooter and behaved as such... their fear... their behavior is what resonates in that video. And parents it's one thing to know your kid has done active shooter drills, it's another to see it played out in a real situation where you could easily imagine your child in that room.
