Just exercise a little patience, man. There are so many other things to watch in the meantime.
don't be weird. he's my favorite director. if i want to see a bootleg version of his new movie, i'm going to see a bootleg version of his new movie. Oddly I think I liked it more in poor quality than in HQ. Like, my brain filled in gaps that weren't actually there and created a better version, or something.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Just exercise a little patience, man. i be sure to still pay for it afterMecca wrote:I just couldn’t watch a movie I didn’t pay for in some way. Quality is a huge part of it, but even as someone who grew up with Napster and torrents, as I got older I just felt that art deserves compensation even if it’s just in the form of watching an ad here and there.
but if everybody just took it for free they wouldn't be able to make movies with million dollars actors in them, and they'd have to hire new york broadway people who throw ticket stubs at their customers to star in themLoathedVermin72 wrote:I really couldn't give a shit if WB gets money or not
I care more about the people downstream. Less production companies mean less people working in general and it’s been a net loss that majority of what gets put out now is already existing IP. I mean, my $10 to see a matinee isn’t gonna make or break a studio, but it’s an honest way to live.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I really couldn't give a shit if WB gets money or not
I'm a physical media junkie who I'm sure spends more on movies than anyone here but I don't care at all about any of the reasons you just said. Cinema is dead, etc.tree_ wrote:but if everybody just took it for free they wouldn't be able to make movies with million dollars actors in them, and they'd have to hire new york broadway people who throw ticket stubs at their customers to star in themLoathedVermin72 wrote:I really couldn't give a shit if WB gets money or not
You've convinced me. I'm not going to pay for Marty Supreme now.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm a physical media junkie who I'm sure spends more on movies than anyone here but I don't care at all about any of the reasons you just said. Doesn’t matter; it’s a personal principle. I can only control what I can control; might as well do what feels right for me.LoathedVermin72 wrote:this battle is already lostMecca wrote:I care more about the people downstream.
