Finally arrived. It appears that the "Deluxe CD" is just the book packaging that they've been using since Avocado. That was a $7 upcharge, my friends.Coach wrote:Just looks like you get a lyric booklet and that's itB wrote:I wonder how awesome the deluxe CD is going to be?

To be fair, the Ukulele Songs deluxe version was a literal book.

Yes, as soon as Ed was talking about a song they had never played before I was determined that I will just sit still and record it. It's my own little bootleg!stip wrote:that was a great cover. thanks for the video!

which one is worst, The Haves or Future Days?
Ed did a pretty cool acoustic rendition of FD for that video game awards a few years ago so i might think ..The Haves is the worst thing he ever done?

Re: Eddie Vedder - Earthling
I am going with Future Days. As much as The Haves does not hold up on its own, it serves as a mid point breather on Earthling, and works in context. It might be clumsy, but in an album where jangly tunes dominate, this clumsy ballad sort of fits in - and gives the song a character. It’s less a wealthy man backhandedly turning his nose up at the haves and more a tale of those have nots that inspired him to place himself emotionally in the space of the homeless couple. He did a profoundly better job of this in his early career with much of the first two albums (and Better Man), but the try and fail weirdly has a charm to it. Future Days plain sucks.VinylGuy wrote:which one is worst, The Haves or Future Days?

definitely future days, if only simply because it says pearl jam on the sleeve of the album.VinylGuy wrote:which one is worst, The Haves or Future Days?

If anyone is looking for this on vinyl, someone on eBay is selling it for $19.99 with free shipping. I got one and it looks like they have one left. Sorry, can't figure out how to share a link from the app.
