Just about 1 ikea kalax!tragabigzanda wrote:I'm just focusing on my hands-down favorite albums, plus a select exploration of new ones (mostly jazz). If I surpass 500 albums within a few years, I'll have abandoned my original intentions. Still fine with digital for a lot of stuff. And 500 records is only a few shelves.Ello Sailor wrote:I am on the fence about getting into vinyl. I sold all of my CDs a decade ago because they took up so much space and nearly everything was available digitally.
I don't miss the clutter, but I'm curious about the audio quality aspect.

I originally started off by just wanting my favorite albums.....570 later....

Re: The Vinyl Thread: Still Listen On Wax, Don't Use The CD
This was always kinda annoying in my early 20's. Also countless house parties led to a lot of scratched discs, beer-spilled inserts, and the occasional album going MIA. The sanctity of my collection had been fouled and I decided to cut and run.bodysnatcher wrote:Wait til you have to move with them though

Maybe I should have been spinning Black Messiah today...... Instead I went with MTV Unplugged: Summer Solstice a-ha and Crossroads - Bon Jovi

I really like Slippery When Wet in my pre-teen years, and to some degree New Jersey. Could never justify buying one of thier studio albums, but The Best Of works quite wellEllo Sailor wrote:Bon Jovi. That's a tough one, Rangi.
