Anyone going to check out Carnival Row? It seems banal and pretty.

Is there some big twist at the end of the season? If there isn't I dont see much reason to go on.E.H. Ruddock wrote:It is a great show, Burt. Keep with it.BurtReynolds wrote:I gave Mr. Robot a try but after 4 episodes I want everyone on the show to die violent deaths. pass.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

There is a "twist" yes. But I did not like the "twist." But I thought the show was good, so maybe you'll love it.BurtReynolds wrote:Is there some big twist at the end of the season? Finished stranger things 3.
It was boring.
Few laughs and feels the final episode. Other than that pointless.
Feels like a set up series for the next series.
It will be hard to muster any shits either way.

I LOVED S1 but I was turned off by the finale so I never picked it up. I guess I need to fix that.E.H. Ruddock wrote:You haven't seen it? Jesus. Watching it now. Take away the wings and horns, and this is just a preachy, generic melodrama. It's relentlessly bleak and hateful, too.

Depends on what you mean by pretty I guess. The production values are ok, but nothing amazing.bune wrote:I said banal and pretty, does that not cover it pretty well?
