Yes sir. I played a gig 7-8 years ago. It was my parents’ class reunion and it was basically a revolving door of all Papa Wease’s old music buddies. This thing went of for 5-6 hours and I stood there playing with my Les Paul over my should the entire time. And that’s not even counting the couple of hours we rehearsed before it even started. I could barely move my shoulder for days afterwards.Dev wrote:so my shoulder is fucked from playing guitar. anyone else ever had this. so dumb.

let me help you out (as someone who deals with anxiety i was surprisingly calm during my surgeries). just sit back and let the nurses do their thing. make a joke here and there to keep things light. do not under any circumstances reply when the nurse gives you the IV, ok you are going to feel a small prick, not the first time today for that.Strat wrote:You need an SGwease wrote:Yes sir. dont lie about your weight with the anesthesiologist. probably the scariest thing pre surgery is when they hand you the form that says if needed is it ok to give a blood transfusion. my smart ass wanted to say if i was worried about dying why would i be having this surgery?
post surgery - listen to your doctor and your Physical therapists. do not think you have to over achieve in the rehab. also if something feels off, tell them dont bottle it up. if they give you an epidural remember this part. you will not poop for 1.5 to 3 days. when you finally drob a deuce stay on the toilet for an extra 5-10 minutes. after not pooping for so long and then you finally do your body loses a lot of hydration and you will be close to passing out. let that feeling pass before moving.

Re: Discuss your injuries ITT
I’ve been having unidentifiable soreness in my shoulder for a couple of years that is accompanied by numbness in some fingers, especially after doing physical work like mowing/stump grinding or playing catch. Seen a doc, had an mri, nothing really to show for it. Haven’t buckled down for physical therapy because I haven’t really had a solid “this is the issue to address” moment anywhere. Then a Brewers pitcher has been out with thoracic outlet syndrome and I was like “what the heck is that?” Read up and those symptoms align with mine pretty much to a T. Nerves compressed between rib and either shoulder blade collar bone I can’t remember. The I read that the surgery to address thoracic outlet syndrome is REMOVING A RIB. But I’m thinking maybe I’ll finally look in to some physical therapy.

Surgery on that area is a last resort. I had similar problems. Try PT.
