I was never anti Rebels. Just relatively late to the party is all.
Soooo glad I jumped in though.

that and thrawn, right?durdencommatyler wrote:I'll be honest, I thought the trailer was too long and overstuffed with vocal remixes. It was soooooo explody! So exciting.
Really, the only thing that got me excited was seeing Obi-Wan. Well, that and seeing Kanan step up. That trailer made me much more excited to see where they're taking him. He looks so different (both in look and in ability) than the guy I know so far in the show. That's pretty exciting.

Meh. I never read any of those books. So Thrawn has no context for me and is thus fairly meaningless. People seem to love him, though. So, I look forward to my introduction to him. But right now he's just a green guy in a white suit.stip wrote:that and thrawn, right?durdencommatyler wrote:I'll be honest, I thought the trailer was too long and overstuffed with vocal remixes. I hope so! I kept hearing about on the periphery and it SEEMS cool. But the look of it was weird. I wasn't a fan of what we saw in that little trailer. Part of that might be my fault though. You know, build-up/expectation.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Joey you'll come to like the dark saber

I just discovered its origins in a couple of Clone Wars episodes I watched a couple weeks back.durdencommatyler wrote:I hope so! I kept hearing about on the periphery and it SEEMS cool. I can understand your position. Without reading those first three Zhan books, you kinda lose the excitement for him.durdencommatyler wrote:See how much I care about Thrawn?wease wrote:Blue. Even tho they're not canon, you really ought to give them a try. Zhan captures the personalities of the characters better than just about any of them. And it's a ripping good yarn, as well.

Some pretty heavy foreshadowing in The Mystery of Chopper Base between Ezra and Kanan.

Also, it's hilarious to me how this show is so careful to dance and tip-toe around the romantic relationship between Hera and Kanan but they have no problem being horrifically viciously violent when it comes to killing foreign species.

As a parent, I respect this. I can explain to my kids (and they'll understand) why violence is bad and this is just pretend. Relationships/Sex is not something that should be framed as bad or wrong... but theres also no need to talk to a 6 year old about it.

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
I guess I can understand that. But I wonder if some of the violence doesn't work the other way, too. And I'm not talking about sex. I don't see why they have to hide a relationship between two characters. Why's it difficult to talk to a six year old about relationships? Don't they sort of understand that having parents? Anyway, I can see what you're getting at though. And that makes sense.@SkitchP wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:Also, it's hilarious to me how this show is so careful to dance and tip-toe around the romantic relationship between Hera and Kanan but they have no problem being horrifically viciously violent when it comes to killing foreign species.

Agreed, but I think they're just trying to steer clear almost entirely.
