The reactions to facts here perfectly represent what John McWhorter refers to as the new religion of anti-racism. I'm honestly on a quest for facts. If you have some that dispute the ones I posted, please post them. Personal attacks are irrelevant to facts.

Here's one: you obviate complicating factors like urban poverty and its link to illicit economies that arose in the wake of manufacturing and capital flight from inner cities to hone in on race as the most important factor in cataloging gun violence. If not outright racist, it at least typifies what Hannah Arendt calls "race-thinking" insofar as it naturalizes and gives causal weight to an ascriptive category.

So, people kill those around them. So fucking what. The numbers are the same for whites. Black people aren't more likely to kill black people than whites are to kill whites.

Incorrect. If you account for population percentage, it is a bigger problem with black people. The "so fucking what" is, this is a problem that should be discussed when talking about black lives mattering and the facts seem to be taboo. Cops killing blacks isn't the biggest problem. Cops are more likely to kill white people, which also matters.

As for the 89% to 82% differences in white on white and black on black crime, that is most likely a result of black people being more likely to live in highly segregated, high-crime areas than whites. Another problem that anti-racists would like to see improved upon.

McWhorter's stupid ass claim that anti-racists are pissed about cops killing blacks and don't care about blacks being killed by other blacks in their own neighborhoods, is a ridiculous claim. Both are the result of shitty policies dating back to the Jim Crow era and in need of attention.

How can you care about one thing when in fact there are also other things??
