Okay so here are two remixing experiments using AI assisted track splitting.
For the first one, I've taken Tremor Christ's early vocal track from the rough mix on Cockage's tapes, and mixed it an instrumental track made from the 2011 remastered album version:
Pearl Jam - Tremor Christ (early vocal track with alternate lyrics) Fan Remix
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wEknml ... lRk4nRjTYd
And for the second one I've remixed the Crazy Mary demo from Cockage's tapes, since the weird panning on the original recording always bothered me.
Pearl Jam - Crazy Mary (Demo) Fan Remix

Please note that I'm not by any means a professional mixer, I'm just an enthusiast with some ideas. But maybe you'll find these somewhat interesting or amusing anyway.

I always had high hopes for the tape marked “zep”!! have to recheck your folder. Haven’t looked in a while. Lots of good stuff!

Dex wrote:Thanks. For those who care/are keeping count, this is the second track from this tape that we have now. Another little piece to the puzzle.
(Uploaded to Dropbox in 2017, by the way.)
Allon, is there some kind of special sacrifice that needs to be done in order to have the whole collection (or at least a few full tapes) uploaded somewhere? I can get Putin murdered, if so you wish.
What was the other track that was released from this tape?
Do you have a link handy that may be alive still? Thanks!

me like
bass way more prominent in the mix
key board a lot more mellow
outtro sounds more organic
These two songs are the copies I recorded on a boombox from a tape that Ed played for me in June of 97.
I'm curious how you got a hold of these?

I lived in Chicago at the time. Fortuitously I was at the right spot as I knew some of his family that lived in Chicago.
We spent some time and he shared some tracks.
This was more than 9 months before the album came out. Late May or June I believe around the time the Chicago Bulls were in the payoffs.
The songs were not yet in there final state as can be heard on them. In a mad scramble an old boombox is what was available to record the two tracks.

To be frank I don't remember the exact list, It was 7 tracks that made it to yield.
I was so blown away that I could leave that experience with two tracks that I just kept playing them.

Cockage shared another track, a 90 second track included on a tape labeled '3.09.93' of PJ in the studio playing a version of Speed Wash.

Thanks for this! Mike seems to be playing a slide. You can kind of hear the genesis of Red Mosquito.
I've added it to the folder.
He played slide on that live version of it.

They just did it live one time I think?
That’s all I’ve ever known about.

Sounds good, what a pity it only starts at the end of second verse... wonder if it's cut like that on tape or cockage cut it himself because 3 minutes were a little too much for us mere mortals. Hoping to get the remaining 1:20 mins in another five years.
