Jesus, that article is a fucking mess. Typos, moving goal posts, generalizations, inaccuracies,... I'm not saying there aren't interesting talking points buried in the article; there are. But much like all other discourse around Star Wars, the nonsense is a barrier that should make serious minded people roll their eyes.

But, none of it matters. Not really. I can't imagine there's much anyone can do to change detractors mind's at this point. The only direction for Star Wars to go (in the universal mind) is down.

yeah, i mean i dont really care bout SW detractors that much, but i thought it was a good reflection of all these Disney years with SW. Its a good summary for everyone to maybe keep their own idea about whats been going on with the franchise.

And it did helped me to remember whats actually coming next too.

Read it.

From a guy who only reads philosophy books, feels like this is a disingenuous question.

Bro still mad The Axolotl didn’t get a season two.

It was a good article that rightfully praised Andor for being the best SW property and with a second season on the way should give everyone hope for the franchise

It's true the article does have inaccuracies The Acolyte cost way more than $180 million.

I thought this was the worst part:
So let us — at long last! — get back to that big question in the headline.

Is Disney bad at Star Wars? … On balance, no.

$230 million. If you get tax breaks in England by law they have to release the numbers so you get the real scoop not the studio spin. I can't imagine all that money was spent on the Acolyte it was a low dollar cast and they should be able to reuse/repurpose props and sets from other shows. I imagine Disney is doing a lot of shenanigans with their books. It'll all come out one day.

I heard $200 million, but thats been the spend on all the series theyve made so far?

also, Disney doesnt have a star wars problem.

Star wars has a toxic fandom problem, the same toxic fandom problem every big franchise has now. And all organised by the reorganised gamergate people. It's exactly the same people.
