Re: Cookbooks, Kitchen Gadgets, Etc.
i resisted getting kitchen tweezers for the longest time. I started to see them pop up on cooking shows that I watch, but thought they were ridiculous and pompous. But I read more about them, including here: https://www.seriouseats.com/equipment-e ... ove-letter
I reluctantly bought some and I'll never go back. I frickin' love them.
That is all.

The oldest let milk boil over. Of course it’s left for me to clean. And yes, it’s already been done.doug rr wrote:clean under the burners much?

Matching vintage Mickie and Minnie lunchboxes Mrs Wease received. She keeps saying she going to display them in her office at work, but they’re still sitting there.doug rr wrote:what's in that torn bag?

So I rub in a teaspoon or so of canola oil with my greasy rag while the oven is preheating to 500. After it’s rubbed in and the oven is up to temp, I put them in for at least an hour. After that I just turn the oven off and let them cool with the oven.Chris_H_2 wrote:as in: how do you go about re-seasoning your pans (and what is your pan-maintenance routine)?wease wrote:What do you mean?Chris_H_2 wrote:explain your workwease wrote:Seasoning/reseasoning a lot of my cast iron today.
Maintenance is just rinsing out after use and wiping down with the grease rag. Clean and shiny smooth.
