I feel like I need to reiterate that these posts are 100% sincere. I want to play the Calvinball version of celebrity death pool. I want a rules post ascending into the heavens like the tower of Babel.

So I'm three weeks late on this; whatever, no one died.
On Monday 3/22 we're going to have a brief add/drop period where transactions are allowed to spice up your team a bit. Here are the details:
1. If you've "scored" so far (i.e. someone on your team has died and you have fewer than five names on your list) you can add one more name to your list. Even if more than one person on your team has died, you can still only add one name--I've put that caveat in place to try and keep things close. If you've scored so far, you're not allowed to drop--just add.
2. If you're still at 5 names, you are allowed to drop someone from your team and then add someone else at the same time. This is not required, but you'll only have the chance within this window.
3. As soon as someone is dropped, they're available for pickup by the next person on the list--so choose your drops as wisely as you choose your adds.
4. We're going to run this in reverse order of the standings (first place picks last), and for those of us with no points so far, we'll be placed in reverse draft order. Reverse draft order will also be in place for teams with points that are tied. If no one dies Sunday, this will be the order:
1. bada
2. Simple Torture
3. 96583UP
4. Mickey
5. Jorge
6. Norris
7. Burt
8. doug rr
9. VinylGuy
10. lenny
5. We'll start this at 10:00AM eastern time on Monday. We'll do 3 hour blocks for everyone. Good luck!
Go ahead and roast me, and let me know if the order above is wrong.

Not an exhaustive list, but here are some celebrity deaths we as a group did not predict so far this year:
- Vincent Jackson (NFL player, 38 years old) - 10 points
Larry Flynt (publisher, 78 years old) - 3 points
Mary Wilson (of The Supremes, 76 years old) - 3 points
Christopher Plummer (actor, 91 years old) - 3 points
Dustin Diamond (actor, 41 years old) - 10 points
Sophie (musician, 34 yeats old) - 10 points
Cloris Leachman (actor, 94 years old) - 3 points
Hank Aaron (baseball player, 91 years old) - 3 points
Phil Spector (music producer/murderer, 81 years old) - 3 points
Siegfried Fischbacher (magician, age 81) - 3 points
Yaphet Kotto (actor, 81 years old) - 3 points

we should have guessed Spector, Plummer or Flynt.
Diamond could have been a diamond in any team.

I feel like almost all of us picked at least one young celebrity with a troubled past and personal demons, so I think it's a huge miss that no one picked Screech.
