Why do you care if I see this movie so badly? You've already decided how you're going to feel about me seeing it, never mind what I might actually think. Just live in your fantasy and then you can continue to give me shit. And if I ever do see it, I'll keep my thoughts to myself so I don't burst your bubble.

Just pretend I've seen it and you are totally right.

I think what he's trying to say is that he really likes this movie and has lots of thoughts about it and respects you and your opinions on motion pictures and would like to hear how you feel about it.

I think what you're saying is charitable. I promise you, TVG doesn't actually give a shit what I think about this movie. Nor should he.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I don't understand how it could be considered the same musical DNA. It has a very similar rhythm, drum pattern.. but that's about it, right?

reminds me of the Father John Misty/Honeybear thread. Not all talk in that thread is about the Honeybear album, but RM is as RM does, I suppose

Yeah these kind of popular threads tend to become catch-alls. Happens all the time.

I'd like to hear your opinion whenever you get around to seeing it. It's a tremendous movie.

Which movie, Tommy? It seems we are discussing two different movies in this thread. Which one are you referring to!

Perhaps "all the time" is an exaggeration. But it does happen. The Dark Tower thread is a good example. That quickly just became the Stephen King thread. Tree also gave an example. Point it, this is nothing new.
