I don’t think they have fixed rates for more than a few years.

We don't have long term fixed rates here so we get majorly fucked over. It fluctuates quite a lot. It was about 2% 18 months ago, now 6-7%.
30 years ago it was high teens.

Ah cool. I’ve been thinking some about renting a high rise place to downsize in the city, since we have the lake place on weekends. Renting makes the insane association fees of those buildings easier to stomach since they’re built in. We’d probably use an onsite pool and gym, but still.

Make sure you live on the top floor bc that means you’re the best in the building

Closing on a new place next week. I'm going to upgrade some things and have been overwhelmed with the multitude of options. I'm slowly gaining some general ideas, and a lady is going to help me with decorating because i'm generally clueless. Didn't think I'd buy something I needed to do much with, but got this at a good enough price that I have room financially to work with.

I hope you found the open concept, doorless abode you’ve been dreaming of all these years.

There was a door leaning against the wall in the garage, lol. Looked like they took it off to paint it and just didn't put it back. They knew it would be me buying it.

Been in my condo for 15 years. Made a lot of upgrades. No plans to move anytime soon.
