Been a pretty tame summer. Only over 100 for a little over a week. Topped out at 108.

I am grateful

Cat 3 cyclone level winds last night across the region. This cafe awning and facade by us was not spared and created traffic chaos.

Snowed here last night. Even winters suck in this blighted place.

Just in time for my dog to get a horrible case of the shits that he might not survive. I pretty much have to keep the door open so he won't destroy all my rugs. It's cold in here.

Is it time to put the old man down or what?

I think so, but I've been putting it off. The bad days are outnumbering the good now.

I wish he'd just die so I don't have to put him down... Plus I'd rather he just died at home instead of at a vet.

I'll probably do that but I had a bad experience with a home vet before.

I don't blame you for putting it off. Luckily I have never had to deal with a situation like this as an adult. Tell him I say hi and hope he is not in too much discomfort.

Definitely got frostbite in my pinky finger today. Goddam it. One of the worst pains out there if you didn't know.

Just ran 8.5 kms at -42C. I actually turned around because of an aggressive coyote pack in the area. Normally I fuck with them if they harass me but today when I saw them I was like fuck this I'm just turning around and going home. Like it's so cold you can't really think straight...
