I'm curious whether I'll enjoy the Adelaide show more on recording than I did in person.

I'm looking forward to extending my 'PJ live in Australasia' compilation trilogy into a quadrilogy.

And the Sydney show. It was really good in person. Keen to hear Adelaide too for different reasons.

[contraryoldfart]I'm certainly going to enjoy the Perth show sitting back on my own deck with my own cold beer in my hand and no young whippersnappers hanging about with their pants hanging down under their arses[/contraryoldfart]

Adelaide wasn't a terrible performance by any means, it's not as though there were any trainwreck moments - it's more that it didn't feel very engaging, it was just a little...unremarkable.

Surprisingly, Sydney was with 90% less douchebags. Or maybe I was expecting the worst.

I'd say the PJ middle-aged factor mentioned in the article zeb posted was in effect. Glad that you had a douche-free event.

I missed Melbourne for PJ, first time since 1995, If I hypnotize myself and listen to it often enough I might convince myself i was there. Mind you the substitute of Eddie Vedder *2 in Brisbane was well worth it.

I'll grab the GC show for sure, much for the same reason spenno raises above.

Probably for the best; the whole thing was kind of tired.

I presume we'll see it rebadged as Lollapalooza in 2016 as they now appear to own the festival (or what remains of it) outright.

I blame Matt - He played here with Soundgarden headlining - the next year, no BDO in NZ. He comes back with PJ, the next year no BDO anywhere....
