Penalties are more about psychology than skill.

Ok. It’s still not an 11 v 11 team game. If I was in charge, Messi’s extra time goal would have been the winner.

I feel you Daft. With penalties it's like anything can happen, and like nothing that happened in the last 2 hours counts anymore. In any case, Dibu rocked it and I'm happy with the victory

And I’m happy for you and your countrymen and women. I was pulling for them. My dislike for the way it’s set up is unrelated to the team who won.

Penalties are a thrilling spectacle when you're a neutral. Having your team lose via penalties would be annoying as fuck, though.

Golden goal would be brutally cagey. It could go on forever.

You could make it one player less for each team every five minutes.

If you're not half as thrilled as Cantor, you can go kick rocks.

Lmao the Argies are stone cold savages. "And a moment of silence for Mbappe, who is dead" as they celebrate in the locker room.

I find this whole thing really moving. Argentina has had a tough several years, and for all the bluster and bombast they're famous for, they're also usually so down on their own country -- whenever I tell someone I've lived here for 17 years they ask "why haven't you left?", like they've grown jaded to all the wonderful things in this place. But to see everyone celebrate like this and embrace their national identity, I dunno, it really gets to me. I love this country

Congrats to Argentina. They played some great football over the past month. They had their issues but they dealt with them (although 3 times they wobbled at 2-0 up).

Crazy match this morning. Not the craziest I've ever seen but how France took it to extra time I still cannot fathom.

Incredible scenes, but also... pretty dope drone control + camera quality. That is rad as hell.

Congrats to Argentina, which undoubtedly lost a ton of weight playing all that soccer. :nice:
