I think that the arrangement is brilliant, almost Beatle-esque. Those final thirty seconds are just so terrific. I get a real George Harrison vibe from the leads.

I've aired my grievances with it numerous times. Change my mind. His singing on it is boring to me, and the songs don't have the badass swagger that they've had since this record.

This is just ridiculously good. Only one I'm not totally sold on at the moment is Fairweather Friends, but it's growing on me.

I Sat By the Ocean is groovy as all fuck.

A few people were asking about the Red Rocks pre-sale password. According to a post on the QOTSA FB page, it is KALOPSIA (not case sensitive). I'll be grabbing my tickets today, for sure.

I forget--did you end up getting tickets to the Ogden show when they were touring behind the re-issue of their debut? I remember that show sold out super fast and you missed out.

the heavy ones kick so much ass (tail, sun) its hard to leave them off the top

the only song that i feel isnt incredible at this point is fairweather friends.. and that song isnt really a bad song at all

This record has a great great flow...and yeah, i appear missing is incredible...also Kalopsia! what the fuck! amazing.
