CHICAGO Cubs fans must not? but the Wisconsin Cub wont shut up about the Cubs being ahead of the Brewers in the standings lol...
That's actually pretty sad . . .

I know a guy whos from the South Side (so a Sox fan) that has lived up here 10 years or so... he finds it comical... ill have to ask him to compare Wisconsin Cub fans vs Chicago Cub fans next time I run into him.

Outside of Northside of Chicago Expats, I'm not sure what would make a person in Wisconsin become a hardcore Cubs fan. It's been 30 years since Ryne Sandberg.

A lot of them are in the age range, where they grew up in the mid/late 60's... (the years between the Braves and Brewers) and their kids (which is why I know quiet a few of them... theyre either my dads age or my age)

What year did the Brewers get established? I guess my childhood/baseball prime years I remember Molitor and Yount in Milwaukee.

Early 70's I think, maybe 68 or 69. The Seattle Pilots moved there after one year in Seattle.

I'm no longer saying anything good about Sidney Crosby. He's a whiner and a diver.

it's nothing personal phil, i used to play as a wee tyke but lost interest when i was asked to bunt (i think i was like 10 or 11) and took a fast ball right off my fingers. then i quit.
i have gone to two baseball games in my life. one was a pirates/mets games back in the 80s and then an angels/royals game in aneheim in the early 00's.
its too slow moving and boring for me

Pilots played one year, 69, then moved to Milwaukee, literally during Spring Training... i wanna say with a week to go in camp, they literally didnt know if they were going to Seattle or Milwaukee. But it still took people awhile to latch on to the Brewers, which was part of the reason why Selig traded to get Hank Aaron back for his last 2 seasons (which happened to be Younts rookie years too)
How many of you guys still have your gloves from little league???
Ernie Banks claimed to be holding Eddie Vedders glove from when he was a kid last night... id call bullshit on it? but I just cant see Ernie up there blowing smoke at midnight LOL but fuck? my lil leave glove was tossed out as soon as i got a new one...
oh, and thank you Wrigley / Chicago's finest / and anyone else who allowed that concert to keep going, and going...

Whatever. Fuck you guys. Braun proved his mvp caliber talent while clean in the 2012 season. And the Crew aren't going anywhere this season anyway. Looking forward to next year!

i'm solely referring to his statement (now and regarding his first failed drug test), rather than his actions (which are all but common place now).
