Am I the only one pretty indifferent to RSD this year? I can't really think of anything worth lining up for like a doofus at 7am on a Saturday. Maybe the Biggie reissue or the Screaming Females 10", but I don't know. I might just order the Sub Pop comp and sleep in.

I looked through the list yesterday and didn't really see anything. Maybe the Dylan, but that will all come out on the next bootleg series anyway. I thought that Breeders boxset was an RSD thing, but thats not the case either. I do always pick up the Trouble in Mind 4 way split covers seven inch, but I've had luck finding that one online for retail.

Some cool stuff has arrived in the past few days, but I haven't had a chance to listen to any of it yet. Including:

Bonnie "Prince" Billy & The Marquis De Tren - "Solemns"
Iron & Wine - "Ghost on Ghost"
Hum - "You'd Prefer an Astronaut"
Band of Horses - "Sonic Ranch Sessions"

Maybe b/c he's not really a rockstar?

Far as RSD goes, I think it's pretty well sucked outside of the first one. Once they added the black friday RSD I figure the ship has sailed for it ever being as cool as that first one. The spirit of the whole event is gone to me. Lots of stores hold stuff back to put on ebay and bands drop stuff on RSD with jacked up prices under the guise that it's all limited edition and highly collectible.

That was, by far, my favorite song of the 1990s for years and years, but without an internet to Google the lyrics, I didn't know the name of the artist for years after I first heard it, and I don't think I heard the song until the early 2000s. It's been a while since I've listened to the whole thing, so I'm ecstatic to spin this (probably tomorrow).
