Google says 3rd parties are selling it on Amazon and it's on torrent sites. $70 or free it's up to you.

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
Sandman Overture #2 finally out today. Given that this was originally solicited for December, the delay is pretty embarrassing, but the issue is really beautiful. Best work of JH Williams' career, and that's saying a lot.

It's that good? How many issues is it? I'm tempted to read that now since I've been trying to get into Cap off and on.MadTIGERmaN wrote:Re-reading Brubakers amazing run on Captain America before I go see the movie tomorrow...

- Spoiler: show
Captain America - 1-25 + 65th anniversary special + Winter Soldier: Winter Kills one shot
The Death of Captain America - 25-42 (the aftermath)
Captain America Lives - 43-50, 600-601, Reborn 1-5
the first part is going for 122 now on Amazon, $50 over the cover price and it will only go up from there until they do a 2nd pressing.
I actually liked the whole Captain America/Winter Soldier stories far more than the Civil War story itself

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
Thanks I'm DEFINITELY checking that all out.
Bada, I made a mistake.... Invincible was the one you should have been following. If you need something in that book to hook you just read the last 3 issues (including yesterday).

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
In getting ready for the GotG movie I've been reading some Marvel Cosmic. Specifically, Annihilation, Annihilation: Conquest, War of Kings, and I'm on the last book of Realm of Kings. Up next is The Thanos Imperative and then Annihilators. So far, Annihilation was great, A:C was almost as good, War of Kings had moments it could have been really good but then just died and Realm of Kings is just dumb. I hope Thanos Imperitive is better, frankly.
It pissed me off when high-level stuff would happen in one book concurrently with another book but the result would be almost 100% different between the two. Or events would happen in this book and then you'd start reading the next (and I'm reading them in official Marvel order) and those prior events haven't happened yet and you know what's coming.

I'm re-reading Watchmen after something in a book reminded me of it, and I'm on a comics kick now; it's been years. I read The Killing Joke, downloaded V For Vendetta and put it on my iPad...and then today I set up downloads for most of the other well-known Batman stuff (Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, Knightfall), some big crossover storylines (Secret Wars I + II, Fatal Attractions, House Of M), and Maus. What else should I read? I'm a bigger fan of multi-issue storylines than just "Hey, read all the Spidermans." Ideas?

You can do a search on Hickman's Complete Fantastic Four run and thank me later.Simple Torture wrote:I'm re-reading Watchmen after something in a book reminded me of it, and I'm on a comics kick now; it's been years. I found a stack of my old Wizard magazines from the late 90s. It's fun reading all these stories and rumors and speculation and how much they got wrong.

I've never been into FF, but I'll give it a shot! Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
I believe so. If you were so inclined you could Google "Fantastic Four and FF - Jonathan Hickman(COMPLETE)" and have everything you need. I think once you get to 600 you swap back and forth between Fantastic Four and FF in the reading order. It's been a while. Also if I remember right the art was iffy in the beginning but got good as it progressed. Hickman really focuses on the long game with his stories so something that seemed like a throw away or might not have made sense will come back around and be important or explained.Simple Torture wrote:I've never been into FF, but I'll give it a shot!
