How do we feel about artists whose output may not have made the list solely on merit, but who helped us get laid during the decade in question? Dave Mathews needs a ruling before we get to the 90's tourney.

Last year I was on the Aerosmith ride at Disney when the ride broke and I was stuck in some tunnel for like thirty minutes listening to a loop of Steven Tyler scream "Alright rock 'n' roller coaster!" over and over and over and over and now I know what hell is like.

I was on the space mountain ride when it got stuck inside the mountain. I got up and walked out one of the doors.

Yeah, they eventually had to lead us out through the back door after shutting all of the power off, turning all of the lights on, and having staff members undo each of those metal protection bars manually. It did however lead to the following exchange...
Staff Member yelling to all thirty or so of us: After we lift the bar, you'll need to get out and walk to your left.
Me yelling back: Walk what way?
Staff Member: To your left, sir.
Me: Which way?
Staff Member: To your left.
Me: Which way is that?
Staff Member: Your left.
Me: Where?
My friend: GODDAMMIT HE WANTS YOU TELL HIM TO "WALK THIS WAY" AND HE'S GONNA KEEP ASKING YOU SOME VARIATION "WHICH WAY?" UNTIL YOU SAY THAT SO JUST SAY IT!

This wasn't the album version used so effectively in the armageddon scene of Fight Club, but the B-side to 'Here Comes Your Man'. The video above is pretty cool, the tune is gorgeous.
My next pick won't win me any votes, it's cheesy as, but damn if it isn't one of my all time favourite tunes, and to me it just automatically drags me straight back to the 80's every time I hear it:
