Alright, I've caught up on the thread a bit...

4/5, I put it under Land Shark so that when I run the simulated games, I know which stadium that it. The site lists them all by whatever named they last had while in baseball use. This way I wouldn't have to look up again what Joe Robbie Stadium was called at the end.

Outfielders are all just considered outfielders by the site.

I haven't figured out a way for it to let us use DHs, so as of this moment pitchers will be hitting.

I don't think anyone else can compete for best catcher of the era.

You wrong, playa

Well... he's the closest, but I still don't think he's on Piazza's level.
Hitting wise probably not but defensively it's not even close IMHO. All around I give the nod to Pudge. A top 5 hitting catcher ever.

Oh, also, I'm cool with having times where we pause the draft, like Skitch suggested. It makes sense since we are all relatively close to each other. Or if nothing else we can suspend/lengthen the time limit during certain times of the day. Whatever is best for everyone playing.

I think pausing from say 10 or 11 pm until 8am eastern time is perfect.

People can still pick and the draft can move forward, but no need to skip people during those times.

How about 10pm but if your clock starts at any point before 10pm you get a 2 hour clock and then you're skipped, and the next guy is not skipped until the morning.

I think this more or less works. By all means though, people should still try to proxy some picks at the end of the night to keep things rolling a bit.

Just read the back and forth about me. I'm sorry about this. If you guys are good with letting me make it up I really appreciate it. If not I understand. It was totally my mistake. I knew it was post-strike, but I got so excited when I found an alternative to taking A-Rod that it completely slipped my mind.

I'll be back at 2:40 and I accept the group's decision either way.

I'm still ok with my original idea. Replace Cal but wait until your next turn to do it.
