Even Flow is still pretty good live.

Musically. He's gotta be next in line, behind Ed, from a $$$ perspective.CopperTom wrote:Musically or. $$$ from a pramg perspective?Leatherhead wrote:Stone Gossard is the weakest link in the PRAMG era.
the original, duhE.H. Ruddock wrote:Eddie's version or the original version?stip wrote:I'd rather listen to hard sun than anything on binaural or no code. Possibly riot act, too
So you would rather listen to this, from a Canadian band, than anything on 3 of Pearl Jam's best albums?stip wrote:the original, duhE.H. Ruddock wrote:Eddie's version or the original version?stip wrote:I'd rather listen to hard sun than anything on binaural or no code. Possibly riot act, too
I haven't read the book. The film had lovely scenery but I don't sympathize with McCandles.Strat wrote:Also, stip...
I dont know if I know your thoughts on the movie/story that is Into The Wild.
Did you care for the film or book?
Hah, I forgot how much the original sucksE.H. Ruddock wrote:So you would rather listen to this, from a Canadian band, than anything on 3 of Pearl Jam's best albums?stip wrote:the original, duhE.H. If by 'sucks,' you mean "almost identical to the cover stip likes, but without the singer stip likes," then yes.stip wrote:I forgot how much the original sucks
I know "still" is the operative word there, but I really, really, really enjoy the LO2L version of Even Flow. With Matt new behind the kit, it just feels like the song has this newfound harder edge to it. Maybe more like the song Eddie wanted? I still quite like the studio version (especially the redux), and early live versions with Dave A too. Oddly enough, it's probably the Jack years where I like the song the least.Leatherhead wrote:Even Flow is still pretty good live.

I can get behind this. Jack was their best drummer but "Even Flow" just didn't seem like his kind of song.darth_vedder wrote:Oddly enough, it's probably the Jack years where I like the song the least.

Oh man, do I dare click play?stip wrote:I should take that headshake back. A more passionate musical performance, performed by one's favorite singer at the top of his game, does not in any way make a song distinguishable from the original.
I like Black, and this guy is covering black, so my initial reaction that this isn't very good must be off base in some way.
