‘After sex on the damp sheets, we passed out’ – the worst moments from Moby’s memoir

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/ ... bys-memoir

This made me laugh
We spent the next few hours having sex and looking into each other’s eyes, and by the time we were done, it was late and most of the people at the party had left. Someone in the living room put on London Calling, but Joe Strummer, who apparently was still there, yelled: ‘Oh, fuck no!’

I lay there, smiling and spooning beautiful Becks. As I was falling asleep, I heard Golden Years playing in the other room.

‘Can I tell you something?’ I asked.

‘Please,’ she said sleepily.

‘David Bowie’s my neighbour.’

Hahaha whattttt
I recently read a gossip piece wherein Natalie Portman said that we’d never dated. This confused me, as we did, in fact, date. And after briefly dating in 1999 we remained friends for years. I like Natalie, and I respect her intelligence and activism. But, to be honest, I can’t figure out why she would actively misrepresent the truth about our(albeit brief)involvement. The story as laid out in my book Then It Fell Apart is accurate, with lots of corroborating photo evidence, etc.
Thanks,
Moby

Ps I completely respect Natalie’s possible regret in dating me(to be fair, I would probably regret dating me, too), but it doesn’t alter the actual facts of our brief romantic history

According to a guy in Flipper Moby put "original singer of Flipper" in his bio for years when, according to the guy, he jumped on stage and sang one night in his hometown of Connecticut when the real vocalist was not available(arrested, I believe).

I think the truth lies somewhere in between. Portman is clearly embarrassed she was chasing this guy and Moby probably never took her to the bone zone.

Somehow I super doubt 18 year old Natalie Portman was chasing Moby

Maybe chasing is the wrong word? Being a starfucker? Play was a well regarded record at the time. It's easy to forget as Moby has become a strange bald punching bag with age.

I remember reading an urban legend years ago that Jewel had to have her stomach pumped after swallowing so much Moby jizz.

lol, I was going to say that but held off. In 8th grade/1991 I won a radio contest to see a Rod Stewart show and, sine I was 14 I had to take my mom. She bought me a shirt and I had to hear all about his hamster and stomach pumping prowess every time I wore it.
