I think Gase gets the most out of his players, puts them in best position to excel, etc. the Bears started a lot of inexperienced guys on offense with injuries to White, Jeffrey, Royal, Bennet, Forte, and Wilson, yet they never looked terrible. There were questionable decisions when we had the lead, but who knows if that was Gase or Fox. I'm not sure what this means for miamis D, but Tannehill should certainly play a lot better.

It's not like hiring an oc as a hc has hurt the team in the past..

Since this thread was bumped again, I have to once again thank the Dolphins for assuring the AFC's Super Bowl path went through Denver.

I think you should thank Belichick more than the Dolphins TBH...or even the Eagles special teams

I definitely feel like we beat the Pats yesterday. It was well worth dropping from the 6th to the 8th pick.

They are going to be in such salary cap hell a few years down the road. Thanks to idiotically restructuring that huge Suh salary he's going to count almost $10 million against him just in prorated bonuses alone.

I'm so glad you said this.
I feel like I'm going crazy because I'm the only one yelling, "DON'T RESTRUCTURE HIM!!! TAKE THE CAP HIT THIS YEAR AND BE DONE WITH IT!!!" We're not going to win this way either way, just absorb it and move on.
I'm so sick of this strategy of just creating future dead money. This team is run so poorly, making the same mistakes over and over and over and over and over and over.

So they just pulled the transition tag on 25 year old Olivier Vernon, and will now rely on 34 year old Cameron Wake and 31 year old Mario Williams to get to the QB. I feel terrible for you, Dolphins fans, you don't deserve this.

And it looks like the trade with the Eagles is on hold due to injury concerns.

This would be a major blessing. Rumor is that Miami was going to swap 1st round picks with the Eagles (moving from 8 to 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to take on Maxwell's horrible contract and poor play. It's a shockingly bad deal for Miami.
Further rumors are that Miami has heard the laughing for two days and are using a sprained shoulder as an excuse to get out of the trade. While I hate the trade and hope they get out of it that would be really pathetic of them to be swayed by public opinion like that.

For reference of what a bad contract salary dump trade usually looks like:
Vikings get:
Mike Wallace
7th round pick
Dolphins get:
5th round pick
But now Miami thinks it should go from 8 to 13 (or the equivalent of a high 3rd rd pick) to take on a massive salary.

Maxwell's agent tweeted that Miami has cleared him and the trade will go through.

The Dolphins are fucking baffling in their choices. Every year it's like "why, why, WHY are you doing that?!?"

What a shockingly bad two days. And yet, not surprising at all, really.

How many years do you have to be the laughing stock of the league before the entire organization gets fired??
