I agre that Mooney should be getting more air time. It's a very competitive environment, with the cast and writers writing, producing, directing, and casting their own sketches. They meet the host and pitch initial ideas on Monday, and write through the night on Tuesday. On Wednesday they pitch to the host, the head writers, and Lorne, and the tentative sketches are chosen, with the knowledge that some will get cut in dress. They spend the next 2.5 days getting their sketches ready before dress on Saturday afternoon...

I'm not sure how strong a writer Mooney is. He might be a character guy, and of course there are all those low-budget videos he produces, but they are definitely rooted in his own odd sense of humor. I think it's interesting that Beck Bennett has sort of broken to the head of the pack, considering these two are old friends and comedy partners (they had an online series they did together before getting signed to SNL). So it could be the Mooney is writing a lot; or it could be the he is, but his sketches are getting rejected; and I'm not really sure why other members aren't casting him in their sketches. Maybe he doesn't even try to get cast in them?

I wouldn't say it's been offensive to me, unless you mean being offensive to comedy in general. It's really old, and wasn't really all that funny to begin with. I honestly never really found her that funny, but she's grown on me slightly. I'm just not into the **SCREAM MY JOKE AS LOUD AS I CAN** abrasive style.

Yea, it's not offensive to me personally, but I'm just thinking that conceptually, it's crossed a line. I loved her when she first starting doing desk bits on SNL, but she has become very one-dimensional, and it's wearing thin.
