The Kotaku review for Breath of the Wild makes this game sound amazing:

Their review yesterday of the Switch basically said that a large number of minor technical headaches added up to a system that had great promise, but was too buggy. But after reading the Zelda review, I don't even care. I'm just straight jealous.

The reviews confirm it is a Nintendo console.

I can't remember a game that got this many perfect reviews. This weekend is going to be great!

The Metacritic score is just insane. Can't wait to start it up (once the in-laws leave).

I'm also relieved to hear from people who are playing both Horizon and Zelda that both games complement each others strengths and weaknesses well.

Inside was amazing until I joined "the blob." Then it just got sort of arduous, and the ending was so underwhelming.

Really? I loved the about face. One of the most absurd moments in a game ever.

yeah me too. It was like new game, but the controls were so intuitive.

I had to watch some videos to figure out what it all meant, and to see some of the hidden stuff that explains it a bit more.

Best Buy is offering a free exclusive Steelbook with Mass Effect: Andromeda pre-orders. I'm gonna buy so much stuff for this game.

I understood what was going on from a narrative standpoint. It just felt so out of left field; everything went from creepy to weird with that shift. And then the ending sequence, and the final shot, felt flat for me...

Forgetting the ending, did anyone ever read any Robert Cormier when they were a kid? I Am the Cheese, The Bumblebee Flies Anyway, Fade, We All Fall Down? He was such a unique YA writer; his books always had undercurrents of Philip K. Dick and Kafka. Anyway, this game made me think of him the whole way through (including the ending, I guess).

Picked up the Uncharted 1-3 collection yesterday. Thinking I'll probably skip the first one and just start with #2, unless there are any strong objections? I watched some stuff online that makes the first one look a bit rudimentary by today's standards. And I'm not really here for the story; I just want to shoot things and climb and dive for cover.

I love the first one....after playing the others and going back to it again it is a little clunky but its still a lot of the fun. Lots of shooting. Good story and character moments.
