Forgive me but is there ANY CHANCE that the woman in the hood is actually Kerri Russel and not Rey?

Because it looks like Rey but different. Slightly off.

Just throwing this out there.

Ha!

I wish. But no. I'm guessing he's being coy about "any of his creations" not Ahsoka. And he's probably doing so in the context of The Mandalorian. But we'll see. I'll probably wet myself if she ends up in the Skywalker Saga.

My guess is it’s papatine taking her form to fight her. Or it’s a vision like the cave in empire

I think it’s more likely she’s in kenobi. But she could be in both that and this.

Mind blown gif

I'm pretty confident that JJ has not seen any of The Clone Wars or Rebels. So... I think you're good skipping the rewatch.

word.

Kenobi makes the most sense for Ahsoka specifically to appear in.

I do have all of september to myself!

Geezes, i'd have to write out a timeline from beginning to end and watch all the star wars in chronological order.

Wouldn’t be so sure.
The shot of all the star destroyers hiding?
That was set up in the aftermath books. The remnants of the empires fleet in hiding.

I think you're reading too much into it. You're taking something you know and applying to something that's given to us without context. I can't imagine JJ's priority is linking this to outside material. It's going to be difficult enough to link it to 8 other films. He can't possibly give a shit about the Aftermath books.

Well the star wars "team" that helps oversee such projects may definitely be dipping into everything.

Totally. I scenario in which JJ says, "hey I have this idea!" and the story group says, "cool we have something like that aleady." Case in point -- Rey's lightsaber at the end of the reel. That makes total sense. But I think the story group is really only tapped when digging for details that don't disrupt established canon. I know Rian spent a lot of time at Lucas film and spoke with the story group a lot. But reports about TFA were that JJ really did his own thing and didn't reach out to them much.

But I'd love to be wrong. I think it would be great to infuse this with pieces of everything and still make it coherent for super canon junkies and casual Star Wars fans alike. Just seems like a tall order given everything else they're focused on.
