He's really good in it. I actually love how one of the first sounds you hear in the movie is his trademark laugh.

All the actors are good in it. I think it's Edward Norton's best role in many years. Rogen was just really funny and believable (until the part where he pulls his back, at which point nothing in the movie is funny or believable).

To be fair, I don't think it was trying to be funny after that point. But I do agree that the first half is better.

I know for an absolute fact that I cannot.

After years of disliking him, I’ve done a complete 180 on Rogan; the triple combo of The Studio, Platonic, and publicly telling James Franco to get bent all worked incredibly well for me, and there’s something likable about a celebrity whose entire branding rests on being a stoner, but never extends into fashion, politics, dietary advice.

But I can’t abide by Olivia Wilde. Extremely unlikable concept of a human.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that Penelope Cruz is an absolute treasure

I agree he's better in this than in anything else I've seen him in. He's serviceable and not entirely obnoxious. But there's no question to me that he's still the weakest link in an otherwise wonderful film. I mean, I still think it's my favorite movie of the year, so far. So he didn't ruin the thing for me on any level, but I do wish a competent actor had played the part.

His best acting performance is probably in The Fabelmans. He's good.

I would say actually the best thing about the movie is Olivia Wilde as director

I think this is right. But, then again, Norton is so good... might be a toss-up for me.

I wish Wilde actually makes a good movie next. She has the visual chops but her three movies go from boring to just unwatchable.

Is it fair to assume her DP carries the visual talent? I also thought Book Smart looked good, while being a terrible movie.

Well she's worked with a different DP for each of her movies, and ultimately the DP is there to fulfill the director's vision. That's why Roger Deakins movies look so distinct from each other when he's working with different directors

Ok so she may have some visual skills then. Probably why she dumped Ted Lasso to get with a Backstreet Boy.

I forgot he was in The Fabelmans as well. Loved that movie film

She has them, she knows how to frame, and she is also interesting enough to bring those class A talent to her crew.
I hope her next movie is at least, interesting.
