The Dog Stars was good. Not sure why people seem to not like it. Send like a fairly standard post-apocalytpic movie. Maybe a little mopey

Probably because the trailers sucked hard. Also im not sure if Elordi has a strong crowd besides women. He should stick to make more shit like wuthering heights.

I just finished a Kubrick (re)watch. I hadn't seen his early films except Paths of Glory, and the only one I had missed from his heyday was Barry Lyndon, but I watched them all in order this time through. Just a blast, man.

Good Time, Heaven Only Knows, Uncut Gems rewatches
and rewatched Prometheus and the one after that, which wasn't as good as Prometheus

The Dog Stars
Did not care for it. I don't know who this Elordi fella is, but he kinda sucks. A tonal mess. It can't figure out what it wants to be. I wish the movie had the crazy energy of the last few minutes throughout the movie. Otherwise it was pretty bland. Catch it on streaming if there is nothing else to watch.

It has a lot of pretty Colorado greenery, but the main character is extremely beige.

I'm part way through "Resurrection" by Bi Gan (2026) and it is an incredibly beautiful and gripping fever dream that I don't fully understand yet; maybe I still won't by the end, and maybe that's OK

he was also on both of the worst stuff of the year, wuthering heights and S3 of Euphoria. Now this movie is a bomb, so hopefully he takes some time off.

yeah this was a truly Lynchian masterpiece, it's a crime that I hadn't heard of it
