Nah, they are separate films. The whole Thrawn thing is Filoni's baby.

Apparently, the fourth season of Mando will be reworked into sequel films if Mano & Grogu does well at the box office. So, while I'm sure there will be some connective tissue with Filoni's Thrawn/New Republic movie, I think this movie will be a bit more "stand alone" / set up.

I just can't get myself excited for this.

Same. I'll still see it and enjoy it in the moment but I doubt it will have any staying power before or after.

theyre gonna have a hard time topping Mando meeting the little fella, then watching him upend a big monster with the force, then getting eaten by another monster and rescued by the mandalorians, and then meeting Ahsoka and Luke Skywalker, and finding out his name, then finding out hes a terrible electrician

all stuff we cheered and sobbed for.

but yeah. This film is gonna suck

Im not exited about anything SW related.

Hope that changes with the Rey movie though.

I feel the same for M&G as I did for Acolyte. At least Skeleton Crew will be something new.

Skeleton Crew looks like it has too many annoying kids in it. I don't know what you guys are seeing but I think it looks dumb as hell.

There was never a kid in a film more real and relatable than Chunk in the Goonies

the scene with the fratellis and hes confsessing everything and the puke in the cinema.. laughin just thinking about it

I DO have a 12yo in the house, so I'm hopeful for SC.
