I had a whole giant post written out but this basically says what I was gonna say in much less time. See, dime. Qualilty over quantity. You get the same info and points being made without taking up too much space. This is what we're talking about.

Sounds like she's gonna be a really pissed off angry bitch in TLJ and you can read about it beforehand or just see it as vengeance against Finn and the resistance. It was her failure that brought them defeat. I'm sure Kylo or Snoke have taken that out on her.

We don't even know how she fits into the first order or who she answers to really.

From TFA alone it looks like he suffers the same abusive manipulative contempt relationship from snoke. As Vader was treated by palpatine.

I liked TFA, don't get me wrong. But the biggest problem I had with it was all of the similarities

Well, yeah, we're dealing with a saga/soap opera that is as much about themes of tradition and cycle as it is about good v evil and family. There's a lot to unpack. Parallels are not only inevitable, I believe some are necessary. This is a good one to recycle and reexamine, I think.

But even if we remove all of that, isn't that always the way evil works? The powerful exert their power and berate and belittle those beneath them to stay in power. A real world example might be Trump's treatment of Sessions.

We're gonna see those familiarities start to die in the last Jedi.

I'm fairly certain you're gonna see the falcon destroyed in TLJ. Luke is a goner. Matter of when. Leia also.

So in a few years we'll look back at something like TFA. And treasure those things we call too familiar. Cos this is the last we have of them. So enjoy them.

I imagine we'll see the Falcon destroyed at some point. But I'm not so sure it'll be TLJ. I mean, Disney has a new park to promote and that ship is cornerstone of the experience.

I think it gets destroyed when/if they get attacked on ahch to.

The falcon will live on through all of it. Its a mainstay. People will come and go but the Falcon will be our rock.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if they choose the Falcon to be the popular character "death" that so many expect in this film.

However, I don't take Rian's words lightly. I think it's equally as possible that there will be no major character deaths in this movie. No one died in Empire, lest we forget. This could be more about difficulty and development than death and mourning.

Neither will surprise me. But if I was force to bet...? I'm more on Strat's side than dimes on this one. I expect the odds are in the Falcon's favor in TLJ.
