Alright, when she was born - before we bought her, she had six years. The farmer removed two that he shouldn't have. The odd time, this can remedy itself, so one year we let her calf, but only two years produced milk and she suffered with mastitis. That was the last time we let her calf.

The University of California system is now attainable for mediocre white kids:

https://www.latimes.com/california/stor ... udge-rules

Step 1. Prohibit employers from using IQ tests for employment screening

Step 2. Employers use bachelors degrees as a proxy for IQ/ agreeability/ low time preference.

Step 3. Blow up the bachelors degree as a useful screening tool.

Step 4. Profit?

Now the rich white parents won't have to worry about finding someone to cheat on the tests.

We’ve got another crisis to worry about:

Are your texts passive-aggressive?

I guess from the examples given the article is more talking about short phrases like "ok" and "yep" than about ending more complete sentences with a period?

It's interesting in terms of how communication changes over time, technology, and generations.
I wouldn't think misinterpretation amongst people who view the period as 'benign' and those who view it as passive aggressive would be all that common though. After the first few times your mom texts "yep." you should understand the period isn't implying passive aggressiveness like it does with your gen-z friends.
All about context.

It's difficult to communicate tone and intent in text messages. Leveraging and transforming the period sounds pretty smart to me. The brevity of texting will always have some ambiguity problems though.

I was just noticing how tiny he looks compared to Vucic. And how far away is Pence? This clip is so funny.
