Listened to the first songs of Louder Than Love, damn those guys were heavy. Im not sure Terry Date's producing was the best sound for them, specially for matt, but he sure gave them a very loud and heavy sound.
Gun is a masterpiece.

The singles from that record get most of the love but Ugly Truth and I Awake are top tier songs from that era too.
At the time Date's production seemed just fine but these days it sounds very thin.

Yeah, the sound made sense at the time and for the band. I agree with both songs but specially Ugly Truth and the guitar attack of the intro, its just so fucking relentless

It’s the only one that hasn’t been remastered, it would be great to have endino tackle it since he also did the first two.

I would think not since it’s on AM too but who knows, maybe they like it as it is? Probably simply not worth the cost for the record company.

No, they did stop at
Superunknown though.
As an aside, I believe the album was predominantly self produced and am not looking for a remaster at all.

Not happening it seems, unfortunately.
Would be nice to have that to complement the superunknown one.
On a side note, I devoured Kim’s book over the weekend, nothing groundbreaking unfortunately, still a nice read, I’m a sucker for these Seattle stories, they were/are such a great bunch of people.

I would a reissue of Echo Of Miles actually and a live release from 92 and 96...maybe reading 95?

Didn’t they say they don’t have anything from 94/95, which is really odd. They did issue the Seattle 92 in the bmf box, great great show.
There are loads of bootlegs from before too, some more live shows would be nice indeed
