This is the pattern of conduct in the USA that has flushed us down the shitter:
Orange man and his minions make up a bogus issue like trannies in bathrooms or a war on Christianity, or do something outrageous for attention like giving a nazi salute or blatantly discriminating against minorities and immigrants.
Then gullible, outraged liberals run with the issue and then Frankenstein comes to life instead of being called out for the bullshit distraction that it is.
The result is that it serves its intended purpose, it's something to blame on liberals or to make them look crazy, or it gives credence to the made-up issue and emboldens people with theological or racist mindsets who are being baited and switched into a cult situation. And then orange man morphs into Jesus - and no evidence in plain sight or transgression that he engages in or discrimination against your own kind will ever make a difference, because Jesus never lies and shall not be questioned.
That's how trolling works, and that's how money is made and why conflicted votes are casted, and Pandora's boxes are opening left and right that can never be closed.
The actual act (giving a Nazi salute) is not the issue. The issue is why it was done, and it was done to get a reaction exactly like yours, which is how he got elected again.
