Yeah, it makes perfect sense that you'd be uninterested in this.
I'm certainly not ready to call it garbage. There are some fantastic performances. They're tackling important and interesting subject matter. It's gorgeous. But I'm worried that it'll ultimately end up hollow and icky.

I disagree about the advertising and I don't read reviews, usually, until after I've watched a thing.

But seriously, I'm bummed that I didn't enjoy the first ep more. I was really excited for the show. But it seems like I'm way more on your side, trag, than VG's.

I really loved the first 10 minute or so. I thought we were going to explore some really interesting stuff about being born in the shadow on 9/11 but it ultimately felt like maybe the show just wanted to take a jab at Bush? It was weird and didn't amount to much. At least not in this one ep.

Veronica Mars season 3. Two ended on a couple of surprise notes. Three has me missing a couple of characters.

Riverdale. The S4 premiere was surprising. So heartfelt and gorgeous. A fitting tribute. And I can't remember seeing anything quite like it: a respite, a character study to open the new season of a show built on plot and mystery and melodrama. It was really wonderful. I'm so glad they opened the season this way and I can't wait to see what we're in for now.
I goddamn love this show so much.

I watched the first episode and thought it was fine. But I did not laugh out loud. But pilots are usually not the best.
