I mean...I hardly engage with PhatJ. Virtually never, outside of a couple side-comments when my ego has gotten the best of me...

And I don't see much in the way of "conservative hating" happening on RM, broadly speaking. There's a LOT of Trump-hating -- including by me -- and hating of the current state of the Republican party who waffles on their conservative principles on any given day to please his administration.

What's astounding is that PhatJ has, to the best of my knowledge (though his posts are blocked from me seeing them, so maybe I'm off base), never once given a well-supported answer as to how President Trump supports conservative principles.

Ballooning national deficit?

A highly partisan Department of Justice?

Or how does he reconcile their love of free trade with Trump's embrace of protectionism/nationalism?

And today's postings on the pandemic response are...just really absurd. Like, there's such a huge disconnect between PhatJ's narrative and reality that it's quite troubling.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that PhatJ is not really a true conservative, but more of an angry guy who sees his way of life under assault. Which is totally fair. But his lack of insight into actual conservative values -- supported by voting records and supported policy positions -- followed by a demonstration of how Trump supports those would go a long way to making some sense of his posting.
