Not believing the Howard Stern stuff until it’s announced on any day other than today.

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Matt was on Pinfield’s show last night, but I’m assuming nothing good came from it.

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
I'd still like to hear it, but, it was prob just the same dumb 45 second pre-taped, canned answers they played once at the beginning and once at the end, just like the Stone "interview" last week.scrub12 wrote:Matt was on Pinfield’s show last night, but I’m assuming nothing good came from it.

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
I asked the reviewer on reddit for a few more tidbits
"What would you say are your favorite tracks? Upper Hand sounds like a highlight
Upperhand is great in that it's epic and begs to be talked about for its throwback factor. It aligns with the bands own narrative about the record if that makes sense.
My fave tracks:
React respond. Brilliant rocker. Old dog with new tricks.
Wreckage. absolutely beautiful eddie song. Think light years meets seven o clock that shifts between a clean mildly country twang and a powerful all in e street band vibe.
Setting sun. This brings the weird ament driven pearl jam for the first couple minutes. It'll likely turn some peeps off. Eds vocal took a few lyrics to settle for me. Shifts into a big emotive stunner"

Wreckage continues to sound like the PJ sweet spot for me in the year of our lord, 2024.

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic or hopelessly naive, but, all jokes aside, I continue to firmly believe we've already heard the worst this album will have to offer...
Please?
Please?
