More confident in my picks for the east than the west, Kings Oilers could probably go either way.
Round Two:

Lightning in 6
Hurricanes in 5
Avalanche in 6
Flames in 6
Round Three:

Lightning in 5
Avalanche in 6

The real question right now is who will win the west.

You know what story makes more sense than any? Conor McDavid, the greatest player to ever play the game gets his first cup this year.

As a Rangers fan, I wish this was the case, but I don't believe it at all. The Rangers will have too many moments where they let TB unload on Shesterkin. And while it didn't really happen much tonight, this team can go stretches with generating very little offensively.

After all the praise for Vasilevskiy, I was happy to watch Shesterkin remind everyone that he's pretty goddamn good too.

When I flip over to ESPN and Sportscenter is on commercial break, I audibly say to myself “please not hockey” when they come back from break.

Cool contribution. Glad that seemed worth your time to type.

Welp Avs figured out a way to slow down McDavid at home with Makar and Toews. We’ll see of they can get that on the road.

Rangers were great in G1 but Tampa was also showing some significant signs of rust. I don't think it will be like that the rest of the series, I kind of expect them to even it up tonight. But Shesterkin was fantastic and it'll be a long series if he keeps playing like that.

I agree with all of this. I'm quietly hopeful the Rangers steal a win tonight. At that point I can start to really talk myself into some fantastic Shesty starts being enough to win them two more games out of the five going forward. But I expect TB to come out firing tonight. Between shaking off the rust and being somewhat embarrassed by what happened the other night, I'm worried about what TB is going to throw at the Rangers tonight.
