1. Worst segment yet between CM Punk and MJF (also it’s getting boring in general)
2. Danielson vs Moriarty had decent wrestling, but could have told you every move before it started.
3. Poor segment between Mox and Danielson, felt fake.
4. Usual Wardlow match. Yawn.
5. Cole vs Page with beatdown, at least something half new
6. Inner Circle match, this just didn’t work. Hager stayed down too long.
7. Thunder Rosa match. Boring.
8. Guevara vs Allin with intervention. Too predictable.

That's a shame about Thunder Rosa. When I was going down to Georgia for the NWA tapings she was a real highlight.

I do like her personality, and think she has good in ring skills, but her presentation in AEW is very lacking.

While I agree this has progressed too slowly, I thought the segment was very good.

This was a fantastic match, I dunno what to tell ya

Again, this was an excellent segment, the highlight of the show. I can’t wait to see where this goes
4. Usual Wardlow match. Yawn.

They are building him up for a feud with MJF, Wardlow having 20 minute matches right now makes no sense at all.

I haven’t been wild about the use of Cole so far

I didn’t think it was a great match, but it served its purpose of setting up Eddie Jericho pretty well.

Disagree entirely, this was awesome. Didn’t like the post match as much though

This was a good match, I guess it was predictable, but do you want them to drop the program Darby is in right now. Not having Andrade interfere here would have been non-sensical

The Wardlow thing has been going on forever. Must been more than a calendar year now. And the Pinnacle has been awful. One of many lost storylines. Meanwhile Punk vs MJF takes up a large segment of every show, and they’ve wrestled once.

Cole being torn between Bucks and Redragon too, every week. This show really misses Omega. He is by far the highlight of the shows he is at.

I agree about Pinnacle, it’s kind of obvious they put that group together FOR the war games match with no plan to do anything with it after. I disagree about Wardlow though, I think they way they have slowly built people like him, Hook, Jade Cargill etc has been very good. The crowd is frothing at the mouth for Wardlow to turn on MJF now, if they don’t spend a year building that, it doesn’t have nearly the impact it will when it happens soon.

Hook and Jade, you always know they will win. This is a problem with AEW, you can easily tell the winner of every match every week.

To me, that’s not a problem. If you want 50/50 booking where the results mean nothing in the end, wwe has plenty of content for ya every week.

It’s all subjective, but most of the things you are complaining about are the things that make AEW different from WWE(in the best possible way!)

If WWE style booking and presentation is what you prefer, there’s nothing with that. I’m not trying to say you MUST prefer AEW. I do, but it’s all subjective.

I prefer AEW over 2020s WWE in most ways.

AEW was a lot better a year or two ago. Hopefully they can get their groove back.

I'll never understand the appeal of The Young Bucks.

Personally, I think AEW peaked at some point in the last year, probably at All Out or Grand Slam. They seem to struggle every year between the Full Gear and Revolution PPVs keeping things going. I thought having that battle of the belts show in January would help that, but that show ended up not being what I expected. I do think this years winter doledrums have been better than the past two years, though. The low point of the company creatively was December 19- February 20 for me.

(I am not counting that period in the early days of the pandemic where they had to film a shit ton of matches in Georgia. That wasn’t good tv, but it was the best anyone could do at the time.)

I don’t think they are the end all be all best tag team like the Meltzer fangirls do, but they have impressed me since AEW started. They do a lot of subtle storytelling that I really like, but you don’t pick up on it if you aren’t watching them weekly.

I think we mostly agree on this. I do think the pppvs have been solid.
