So in other words, just voiceover. Remember, that isn't Pedro Pascal in 90% of the mando shots, just his voice.
I was just joking.
But youre probably right. Why is a hutt even in this though? Aren’t we meant to be getting the child home?
Grogu? No sir. When last we left them, Mando & Grogu were totally fine just chilling in their little cabin away from it all. There didn't seem to be any major urgency in going anywhere or doing anything.
they live for hundreds of years.
no sense of urgency even required
why would they though? this is the only dad he knows
or needs.
Exactly.
I expect the plot of this movie to be a retelling/tweaking of the Obi-Wan Legends book. People will be so pissed!
This brings up the mad question. Nobody’s asking.
How did yoda not know grogu was still out there? After the assault and destruction of the Jedi temple and the Jedi slaughter.
Why or how didn’t he know or even sense him?
These are difficult questions if they go there
What makes you think he didn't know?
What’s makes you think he did?
Look at that
Look at what?

Would you care to explain more about this theory?

I think people are bored with Mandalorian. I think viewership on Season 3 tanked, and even if people think Baby Yoda is cute, they don't know who Grogu is and they're not going to pay for a movie ticket to find out. Disney+ fucked up Marvel and this is the movie it fucks up Star Wars. People just don't care about characters made for streaming. They're going to think they need to watch 30 hours of material prior to the movie to get it, and they won't make that commitment.
Looks like Solo was the lowest live action movie so far at $213mil domestic. Mandalorian won't crack $200.

I'm with B on this. Hell I'm not even that excited for it. I'll be there and see it opening weekend, but once the Mandalorian steered into the actual stuff on Mandalore, I wanted more of that. In show form not a movie. Not too excited about the adventures of Pedro's voice and Grogu.
Din should hand Grogu off to the Skeleton Crew then they can just have all of the cute kid characters on that show.

I'm the complete opposite. Lost interest in Mando once it became the Bo Katan show. These shows really need to stand on their own.

Interesting.
Mando didn't really work for me until it became the Bo Katan show.
I fully expect the movie will stand alone and all that stuff I love about the show will be pushed aside. It's gonna be a different thing than it's been these last couple of years.
The movie is S4 but told in 1.5 or 2 hours instead of a drawn out, bloated series. It probably won't work but ...
I fully expect everyone here to love it.

If every kid that owns any Grogu/Mando merchandise attends they will make a fortune.
Mando is still very popular with Star Wars fans imho!!!
Even though Season 3 was a let down. Season 1 and 2 were a standout.
The Mando movie and Filoni's movie are the ones Im looking forward to the most.
Rey whatever and The Dawn of the Jedi I will attend but Im not overly excited by it all.

I think you're all projecting your Star Wars love onto a wider audience that just isnt interested in this story line, and isn't interested in Grogu beyond a cute Yoda caricature.

You wrote a book of lectures about Pearl jam songs.
I’d sit this one out tbh.

If OT characters are in this, it might get some traction with a wider audience (briefly).
I didn’t see season 3, but saw a snippet with a bunch of Mandos talking about water and ancient stuff and it sounded like a bland lord of the rings ripoff.
When SW delves too deep into “history” it becomes lame.
