I could go back and look, but what are we all running in? I am mostly trail running and go between the Solomon Sense Ride and Saucony Peregrine ISO.

I've been a Hoka guy for a couple years now. Clifton or Mach 2 on the road, Challenger on the trail. I've been wearing a pair of Altra Lone Peak hiking, but haven't tried running in them yet.
I like the look of Salomon, but they're too narrow for my sasquatch feet.

I have 1.5 pairs of Adidas Boston 7s to wear through then I'm considering myself a free agent. I'll try out the Boston 9 (Boston 8s were a bust for me) and Adios by Adidas first and if they don't feel right maybe go to a different brand (not Hokas). I'm pretty excited to wear my final pair of Boston 7s, they are highlighter yellow.

i measure my fitness tracker vs my car odometer a few weeks ago and my fitness tracker was showing a bit lower
i went the exact same duration today as i did tuesday, but i felt like i ran a decent amount more today...yet it's showing i only went about .65 kilometers longer

I'd trust your car over a fitness tracker. If you get serious enough a Garmin watch is a great thing to have.

i would think so too...i'm going with a coworker monday and i think she uses her apple watch...my manager said she has a fitbit at home that nobody uses that i could have
i was really surprised how far i could run today without stopping, partially assuming my guess on the trail stretch i used is as long as i'm thinking

no...she's tall and athletic and likes cars and is way more mechanically inclined than me...not my type at all
the gorgeous little married blonde...now that's another story

A lot of us think just because there is an obstacle in the middle of the road that there is a major setback. Your destination will not always be found at the end of a nicely manicured path!
When these so-called “setbacks” arise, we must remember who the fuck we are when we are at our best because life is not designed to pick you up when you fall. Life is designed to teach you how to pick your own ass up when you fall!
There will always be forks in the road and mountains to climb. When those forks and mountains come your way, are you one to sit there and stare at the enormity of the mountain or are you that motherfucker that doesn’t care how big that mountain is and just starts to climb?
Setbacks will always be there. They are inevitable. Many people have setbacks at work, within their families, their health, etc. The list goes on and on. But my question to you is where does your mind go during these times?
I am not saying to be me and break yourself off- that is NOT what this message is about. This message is about not giving up too soon! I find myself in that situation more often than not. I’ve had bad knees, bad hips, etc., for 20+ years but I am not letting that stop me and it won’t stop me now! In life we must exhaust all options. Find a way! Setbacks in life are meant to be explored- it might just mean a different route to the same ultimate destination! Stay hard!

18 miler scheduled this afternoon. i have a new route in the country that is pure bliss. country roads, some woods, rivers, rolling hills. perfection. as long as i don't get run over by a drunk driver or torn apart by a stray pit bull.

I run on rural roads a lot and people are usually respectful. Cars can see you from pretty far away. You're way more likely to get smashed by a distracted soccer mom blowing through a crosswalk.

I haven't had any issues so far. There's one section where I have to cross a narrow bridge over a highway that is pretty sketchy. There's a pedestrian path leading to and from the bridge on both sides, but the bridge itself is a free-for-all.
