What do you think happens when "rich white people over reacting" leave the taxable areas of struggling metros? I'll give you hint, it already happened in the 60s and most of those places still havent recovered.

Buckhead is the place the white people fled to to get out of the dark neighborhoods. They've already abandoned the black parts of Atlanta.

So far this year, the police zone that includes much of Buckhead has experienced a 40 percent increase in homicides, a 39 percent hike in robberies and a 64 percent spike in car thefts, according to city statistics.

According to an analysis by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, if Buckhead were to become its own city, it would be 74 percent White, and its residents would have a median income of $140,000. The proposed Buckhead City would also sap 40 percent of Atlanta’s property wealth. The population of the remaining Atlanta would be 59 percent Black — up from 50 percent — and the median household income would drop to $52,000 from $60,000, the Journal-Constitution concluded.

Try to understand what could happen here if the crime isnt addressed.

Crime has been at an all time low for a decade or more, so a 40% jump in one year isn't what it used to be, especially not when it happens in 2020 and 2021.

I'm not suggesting that crime go unaddressed.

I'm suggesting that as soon as it isn't addressed the way white people want it addressed in the time frame they want it addressed, the flee. And it's not like they're going to build a wall to address crime. They're going to hunt down every black kid with a loud radio that drives through Buckhead and harrass him and put him in danger for his life.

Maybe a life changing pandemic hit a country where the bottom half truly lived week to week, financially, which probably matters a bit in the grand scheme of “civilized” (non-violent) culture.

Plenty of us have advocated for better pay, universal healthcare, ending the war on drugs, better conditions in general…

We had a pandemic that turned life on its head for a bit, crime went up… you call out others for a lack of a solution when clearly you just wanna troll people.
