You know, because it's not original, it's based on a thing.

For a second I may have thought you were Pete making fun of the show.

I'm often in awe of the details that GRRM throws into his texts (big and small), but you know something from the show that I always appreciate? How mirrors--even in a high lord's castle--are pretty foggy around the edges, since the people of Westeros haven't perfected mirror-making. Good stuff.

You need dragons for proper mirror-making. Mirror technology is set to drastically improve in the final two seasons.

I'm on the same boat but now I'm hopeful if it's true that they filmed 15 hours of fake scenes. Maybe those spoilers are wrong now.
Let's hope.

My chief concerns are there will be too much fan service and characters will behave in irrational/uncharacteristic ways to move the story along.
So it'll be like the last couple of seasons.

Ha, I worry it will be worse.

The fan service hasn't been that bad. Damn.

You're right it's not fan service as much as it's D&D ego service.

I also think they fall in love with certain actors and then change things to showcase them. Ala Indira Varma.

I'm not sure that's accurate, Pete. Please provide evidence to support your claim.

I think they're just trying to make things cleaner and less complex for the TV audience.
