The flip side to Republicans being such an effective, unified marketing machine is that they only interpret dissatisfaction with their ruling choices as a marketing problem....a reaction that works, under normal conditions. But political spin is less effective, the more an audience is paying attention.

This, more than anything, is probably the best news Trump could hear.

Never heard of him. Is he going to have any significant impact? More so than a Jill Stein?

I think really almost any third-party run helps Trump.

they should sick Warren on him

let her do the dirty work

Bloomy was a republican like 20 years ago and she made it seem like he converted yesterday

this guy literally was a republican yesterday

take him down

all the way down

so Biden can remain above the fray

and focus on discrediting his sex assault accuser

I don't necessarily disagree insofar as Dem voters are more disaggregated/disaffected, and they're also stupid as all hell, but we should note that that's a thoroughly conservative platform.

The evidence against Biden is now more comprehensive than what was presented against Kavanaugh. I don’t see how he doesn’t come out and address it soon if wants to survive until November.

cmon man. kavanaugh used the, i couldnt have raped her it wasnt marked in my calendar as his main line of defense

while i havent read all on the current biden situation id say if anything they are a bit more equal, both told people about it when it happened and those stories for the most part were waved to the side.

i will be interested to see what biden says, if anything, about all this

the ball is in the lamestream media’s court

if they want to run with the story and give it legs then biden will be forced to react

otherwise i expect him to just not acknowledge it

I would not call that an accurate assessment of the evidence in the Kavanaugh allegations, but it's not worth debating that here.

That's part of the whole story though... the accuser is/was an employee of the Sanders campaign so the timing is certainly suspicious. I don't think it's out-of-bounds to say this could be a kill shot against the Democratic party as it exists today.

It's extremely conservative, but I'm not sure how much ideology factors into presidential elections anymore. Trump's best chance as far as I can see is to maximize his base while hoping for lower turnouts from pretty much every other segment of the electorate while managing to hang onto as many fence sitters that swung his way in 2016. I think anyone, whether it's a third-party challenger on the left or someone who appeals to those fence sitters, benefits Trump.

The polling out of Georgia and Michigan is brutal for the GOP. Pennsylvania’s throwing out red flags for Trump, as well. And all of this is coming from internal GOP polling groups.

That polling shows Kemp has the worst numbers of any governor:

Fav/unfavorability:

Trump 49/49
Kemp 43/52
Collins 32/22
Loeffler 20/47

And then there's Trump/Biden...
