While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

that could be a good thing for the FD haters though, if the tracklist wasnt finalized then they might take reaction to the song into account and drop it, but i doubt it.harmless wrote:OK, fair enough. I doubt Brendan O'Brien would've let that happen.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:that could be a good thing for the FD haters though, if the tracklist wasnt finalized then they might take reaction to the song into account and drop it, but i doubt it.harmless wrote:OK, fair enough. Yeah, guys...there's pretty much no way on earth the reaction to something on a message board is going to affect this band's decisions.

definitely not, was was thinking more like if it flopped in its live debut then they might drop it from the album, but i dont think they will do anything like that anyway. i think the tracklist has been finalized but they have some kind of plan on unveiling it and thats why we dont know it yetLament wrote:Yeah, guys...there's pretty much no way on earth the reaction to something on a message board is going to affect this band's decisions.

Going by his artwork he looks like the guy that did the artwork for Jeff's last solo album.B wrote:I think he's just looking for more evidence that Don Pendelton designed the cover. As far as I can tell, it's just a person on the Pit that thinks the cover kinda looks like Pendelton's art. A lot of the art on his website looks very similar, and not quite like the LB cover.harmless wrote:This post pissed me off:

Yeah, because that's what good artists do; repeat themselves all the time.

If only they would read polls. though I don't think 96 votes is enough to sway them:Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:definitely not, was was thinking more like if it flopped in its live debut then they might drop it from the album, but i dont think they will do anything like that anyway. i think the tracklist has been finalized but they have some kind of plan on unveiling it and thats why we dont know it yetLament wrote:Yeah, guys...there's pretty much no way on earth the reaction to something on a message board is going to affect this band's decisions.

Yeah, but that's just here. If they ran the same poll on the Pit it'd probably be like 88% "BEST SONG EVER."

True, but when probably 90% of the songs would get 88% saying Best Song Ever everything becomes meaningless mush.Lament wrote:Yeah, but that's just here. If they ran the same poll on the Pit it'd probably be like 88% "BEST SONG EVER."
Pearl Jam has been by far my favorite band for 13 years, and RM gives the freedom to be honest about my likes, dislikes, and mehs about them. Not trying to force myself to love every song/album, but can appreciate each for what it is.
Too bad Jeff doesn't scan these forums. Unless Jeff is the CC and LIR source

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
So what are the odds that PJ drop another song before the album comes out? Isn't that what usually happens - main lead single, second promo single released later on to tide people over, then album drops.
NIN have just done it. Soundgarden did it with Been Away Too Long as the lead single then a few weeks later they gave us Non-State Actor. From what I remember, for Backspacer (excluding live performances/those Verizon snippets) we got The Fixer then...Supersonic?
